How We’re Listening to you
The Philadelphia City Planning Commission is listening to and learning from residents over the planning process through a combination of online and in person methods. We are seeking diverse perspectives in addressing the needs Philadelphians are facing today.
Public engagement goals:

Increase transparency and accountability in the comprehensive planning process.

Ensure community needs are reflected in the updated comprehensive plan by developing plan recommendations and goals alongside city residents.

Provide communities with tools and information to participate and guide planning.
PCPC will be posting engagement opportunities through the summer of 2027. We will work with community partners and organizations, other city agencies, elected officials and other stakeholders to ensure we reach as many people as possible.
Teen & Young Adult Photo Contest
The Planning Commission is partnering with the Free Library of Philadelphia to host a photo contest for teens and young adults.
The contest closed on February 14, 2026. All photos can be viewed in at the Field Teen Center (Parkway Central Library, 1901 Vine Street, Ground Floor) through August 28.
Online Vision Survey
The Phase 1 Vision Survey closed in January. The Comprehensive Planning Team is analyzing responses and forming the priorities for the Comprehensive Plan update. Another survey with more detailed questions will open in Spring 2026. It will be available on this webpage.
Planning Together Stations
Stop by one of the 24 Planning Together Stations located in public spaces across the city. You can learn more about Philadelphia2050: Planning Together and fill out the Vision Surveys located at the station.
The Vision Survey cards at each station contain the same questions as the online survey.
Community Events
Planning Commission staff attend events hosted by community organizations to share information about Philadelphia2050 and learn community perspectives and ideas.

The Planning Commission is partnering with the Free Library of Philadelphia to imagine Philly’s future with the young people of our city. At workshops, youth can tap into their creative side to share their favorite parts of Philadelphia and their ideal neighborhood through drawing, collage, and block building activities.
